Hygienization

Hygienization consists of professional cleaning of teeth from bacterial plaque, supragingival calculus, as well as from stains.

During the visit, ultrasonic scaling (removal of tartar and bacterial toxins present on the teeth), sandblasting and polishing are performed. At this visit, the patient is also instructed on how to brush the teeth correctly and effectively , use floss and other devices for hygiene procedures at home.

Poor oral hygiene can lead to serious general diseases and discomfort.

Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment (endodontic) consists of removing the pathologically altered pulp from the chamber and canals of the tooth and filling with the appropriate material, most often with gutta-percha.

In our office, we make every effort to ensure that the equipment and methods of root canal treatment meet current global standards. Therefore, we have various systems that are used for endodontic treatment so that we can adapt the method to the problem of a particular patient. During the treatment, the doctor performs min. 2 RVG images ( digital X-ray with the lowest radiation dose at present). During the work, in order to ensure better hygiene of the treatment field and patient safety, the doctor always uses a cofferdam.

One of the devices we use during root canal treatment is SAF, which is considered the safest tool for working within the root canals. It is currently accepted that after proper root canal treatment a tooth should not give any discomfort for 4 years.

Crowns/Bridges

Dental crowns are the ideal way to restore a tooth or teeth.

Dental crowns are the ideal way to restore a tooth or teeth that have been broken or a tooth that has been weakened and damaged by decay , a large cavity that does not provide adequate support for a filling or after root canal treatment, due to a large loss of the tooth’s own tissues.

A dental crown is placed on the surface of the prepared tooth giving it a natural shape and contour while strengthening it. The crown is bonded to the tooth with a special, strong cement.

Veneers

Veneers are a prosthetic restoration that is a thin ceramic plate veneering the front (vestibular) surfaces of teeth (usually front teeth) for mostly aesthetic purposes.

Veneers are used to mask discoloration of teeth, which can not be removed by other methods, to correct the shape of the tooth, at the collapse of the incisal edge of the tooth (they perform better and are more aesthetic than ordinary composite fillings) and to close gaps between teeth (diastemas).

Veneers are an alternative to crowns due to the only slight preparation of the tooth tissues. In daily use, they do not require special treatment.

Whitening

Dental whitening includes both dead and living teeth whitening.

Treatments performed in the office usually give much faster and stronger results than at-home whitening, because they are carried out with whitening agents of higher concentration, and some treatments are additionally assisted by light and higher temperature.Access to light and temperature makes the cleavage reactions of hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide with the release of oxygen radicals proceed more rapidly, allowing for faster cleavage of large dye molecules.

When performing dental whitening, it is necessary to protect the face of the patient and the doctor through the use of protective goggles and a cofferdam to protect the oral tissues. In addition, the gums are always protected with Vaseline or protective preparations. In our offices, we use the ZOOM2 system.

Sinus Lift

Maxillary sinuses are spaces inside the skull structure. They lie above the premolars and upper molars .When a tooth is lost in the jaw , the bone at the root site begins to recede and atrophy .

Wanting to replace a missing tooth , we need to have enough bone to be able to insert an implant . For this purpose , a special bone substitute material is used , which is surgically placed in the sinus floor to obtain new bone . After some time ( about 8-9 months ) , the bone in this area will rebuild providing sufficient space for the implant . We distinguish between two methods of raising the sinus floor, which are used by the doctor depending on the anatomical conditions and the implant treatment plan : closed method and open method.

In our offices, we use the Piezosurgery device from Mectron, which is currently the most technologically advanced and safe for the patient device for working in the bone.

implants

Dental implants ( Dental implants ) are implants made of titanium, which are placed in the jawbone or jawbone to reconstruct a lost tooth root.

In fact, either a denture, a dental bridge or a crown together with the implant form a reconstructed tooth. The advantage of implants is that they provide the most permanent solution for lost teeth , give you a sense of confidence when you eat and smile and provide a natural look .This method of treatment saves your own teeth( there is no need to disturb healthy, adjacent teeth ).

As for implant-supported removable denture attachment systems, they are much more comfortable than conventional removable tooth reconstructions – no more moving dentures. According to official data, there are currently 213 implant systems in the world.

In our offices, we use three different implant systems (Camlog, Thommen and AB Dental) so as to be able to solve the patient’s problem both from the medical side and to adjust the treatment plan to the financial situation. Thommen and Calmolg systems are two renowned and proven ( more than 20 years of existence in the market) Swiss-made systems, which, using two different trends in modern implantology, perfectly complement each other and give us a wide range of possibilities.

Socket preservation

Socket preservation procedure is a procedure designed to reduce bone loss after tooth extraction and preserve the shape of the alveolar process.

The alveolus is filled with biomaterial and covered with a resorbable or non-resorbable membrane and sutured. Unprotected alveolus is resorbed, losing from 30 to 60% of its volume within 6 months after tooth extraction. The shape of the alveolar process will be permanently deformed and its subsequent reconstruction will require more advanced and expensive surgical techniques.
